In the midst of lost souls, emerged a musical genius. A dj/artist for the band called Talismen in 1991 and Co-founder of the group Nightshift in 1992. Then known as M.C./D.J. Darkchild a.k.a the Moonlit Microphone Misfit, started to realize that his talents for music was not just a phase. After doing numerous shows and open mics. He connected once again with his long time friend and colleague D.J. Wise who gave him and opportunity to mix and mingle with talent on the Def Jam record label. There he began to network and learn from others DJay's and promoters and producers. During his tenure with Def Jam, Handzsolo then known as D.C. Learned the ropes of marketing, promotions and how the music industry tics. While there he promoted albums for: L.L.COOL J (Phenomenon & G.O.A.T.), JAY-Z (In My Lifetime Vol. 1 & 2), REDMAN, METHOD MAN, DMX, JA RULE, EPMD, FOXY BROWN and many more. And at the same time he decided to take his DJaying more seriously. Since then he has been working on many series of mixtapes: D.J.Darkchild's Killer Kuts, Can U Feel It?, Tequila Sunrise, Radio Waves, Between the Sheets, Hard n Sexy, Rock with Me, Between The Sheets, After tge Party Comedy, Chopsquad Radio and Seasonal Darkness. Along with putting out some of the hottest mixtapes known to man, he has been rocking at a lot of New Yorks hot spots: Clippers 2, After 7, Demeraras, Wandy's, Columbus 72, Khrome, Blarney Stone, Avenue Lounge, Tropical Paradise, The Masonic Temples to name a few and countless underground spots.
