NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, has suspended Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings, for the rest of the year without pay, citing Peterson has "shown no meaningful remorse" for injuring his son when he spanked him earlier this year.
Goodell, the same commissioner who sentenced Ray Rice to a 2 game suspension, for rendering his fiancé unconscious, has been taking a firm approach to the personal conduct of players since his faux pas with the Rice matter.
Oddly, the stance comes too little too late. The NFL has had numerous reports of violence, domestic and otherwise, throughout the years. Now they are taking a hard stance for issues that are widely out of control in the league. Hopefully it will help but only time will tell.
