Kanye's Foundation Shut Down

Four years after being established, The Kanye West Foundation has shut its doors for unspecified reasons. The foundation was not actually established by Kanye but reached out to businesses that he was affiliated with for contributions. The focus of the charity was to keep young boys and girls from dropping out of school. The foundation's director sent the following message to associates of the charity:

"I am reaching out to let you know that the Kanye West Foundation has officially closed it doors after a successful 4+ years of programming and events [sic]," he wrote. "It has been an incredible experience working with Kanye and the board to realize his mother's vision and I am honored to have been given the opportunity to lead the Foundation."
