Major wind and rain have hit the midwest prompting the cancelling of over 300 flights out of Chicago's O'Hare Airport. Homes have been damaged and many are without electricity throughout the midwest. Winds of up to 60 miles an hour, which feel like hurricane force winds, have been reported. Forecasters have said this is the worst storm to hit the area in the last 70 years. Other reports are indicating at least four tornado's striking various parts of the area. The winds are expected to subside sometime this afternoon or early evening however they could pick up again tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.
