While everyone expected the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray in the death of Michael Jackson to be explosive, I don't think anyone really realized how potent it would be. In opening remarks, not only did the prosecution come out strong, showing a photo of MJ as he lay deceased on a gurney in the hospital, as well as a slurred voice recording of the superstar a month before, they also had Kenny Ortega testify including his reading of an email he sent to AEG CEO Randy Phillips regarding Michael's state of being. The defense attempted to play their cards and suggest that Michael overdosed by taking a combination of powerful medications along with self administering the fatal dosage of Propofol.
