The Simpsons In Danger Of Being Cancelled!

After 23 years on the air, the Simpson's may be in danger of being cancelled if the voice over actors and the studio cannot agree to a contract. Currently the actors receive $500K per episode but do not get a cut of any backend cash that comes in from syndication or merchandising. The studio, 20th Century Fox, is looking for the cast to take a 45% pay cut. The cast is willing to accept a 30% pay cut with the added bonus of a cut of the ancillary benefits. If the two sides cannot reach an agreement, the show may be doomed.
