Whitney Houston's Cause of Death

The L.A. Coroner's office released the official cause of death findings for Whitney Houston. According to their report, Whitney died from heart disease and chronic cocaine use. At the time of her death she was found to have traces of marijuana, Xanax and Benadryl in her system. The assumption is that she had some kind of coronary event that rendered her unconscious and she subsequently drowned in the bathtub.

Patricia Houston, the singer's sister-in-law and manager "We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure."
